In short
When you turn on sharing, we collect your IP address, where that address is roughly located, basic facts about your device and connection, how much traffic passed through and when, and a record that you opted in. We do not collect the contents of what you do on your device. You can turn bandwidth sharing off at any time. Depending on where You live and subject to applicable legal exceptions, You may also ask us to delete personal information associated with Your Device.
1. Who is responsible for your information
Cash Raven, LLC, 233 South 13th Street, Suite 1100, Lincoln, Nebraska 68508, USA, is responsible for the processing activities it determines and controls in connection with the Cash Raven SDK and Cash Raven Network.
The Publisher of the App is responsible for the App, its relationship with You, the Consent Screen and opt-out interface it provides, any account or reward information it maintains, and other processing activities it determines and controls. Depending on the relevant data flow and applicable law, Cash Raven and the Publisher may have separate or additional responsibilities, which may also be described in the Publisher’s privacy policy.
Individuals in the EEA or UK may direct privacy-related inquiries to support@cashraven.io.
2. What we collect
While sharing is on, the SDK collects the following from your device:
- Your IP address (IPv4 and/or IPv6) — it is the address traffic is routed through, and it is the core of the service.
- Approximate location derived from your IP address (country, region, city) — to route customer traffic to the right region and apply geographic restrictions.
- Internet provider, ASN, and connection type (Wi-Fi, mobile, wired) — to operate and quality-check the network and to prefer unmetered connections.
- Device type, operating system and version, and SDK version — to make the SDK work correctly and to fix problems.
- A pseudonymous device identifier generated by the SDK — to recognize the same device across sessions, apply caps, and enforce blocks.
- Session start and end times, duration, bytes transferred, and connection success and error rates — to operate the network, apply limits, and calculate what a Publisher is owed.
- Consent and opt-out information, where received by Cash Raven — which may include a pseudonymous Device or user reference, timestamp, App and version, consent status, and the version of the applicable terms or disclosures presented.
- Diagnostic and crash data — to detect faults and security problems.
- Fraud and abuse signals, such as indicators of emulators, spoofing or automation — to keep fake devices off the network.
Information from the Publisher. Depending on the integration, the Publisher may provide Cash Raven with an App identifier, Developer Key, pseudonymous Device or user reference, consent status and other information necessary to attribute activity, operate the integration and honor an opt-out.
About routed traffic: we hold operational logs of the traffic our customers route through the network, including destination addresses and timing, for security, abuse investigation and legal compliance. We do not use those logs to build a profile of you, and we do not associate them with your identity beyond the device that carried them.
3. What we do not collect
We do not collect, and the SDK is not designed to access: your files, photos, videos, contacts, calendar, text messages, emails, call logs, browsing or search history, keystrokes, passwords or credentials, payment card or bank details, government identifiers, biometric data, health data, precise GPS location, microphone or camera input, or advertising identifiers.
We do not monitor or collect information about Your own browsing or internet activity. The SDK uses Your Device’s IP address and bandwidth to route traffic for Cash Raven’s customers.
4. How we use it
- To operate, route and secure the Cash Raven Network.
- To apply the caps, limits and preferences built into the SDK, including favoring unmetered connections.
- To verify that a valid opt-in exists for every device and to honor opt-outs.
- To detect, investigate and prevent fraud, abuse, and security incidents, including fake or manipulated devices.
- To measure device activity for the purpose of calculating what we owe a Publisher.
- To troubleshoot faults and improve the SDK.
- To comply with law, respond to lawful requests, and establish, exercise or defend legal claims.
We do not use this information for advertising, and we do not sell it or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
5. Legal bases (EEA, UK, Switzerland)
- Consent — for bandwidth sharing and the processing that makes it work. You may withdraw consent at any time by turning sharing off; withdrawal does not affect processing that already happened.
- Legitimate interests — for network security, fraud and abuse prevention, and diagnostics, where we have assessed that these do not override your rights.
- Legal obligation — where we must retain or disclose information by law.
6. Who we share it with
- Service providers acting on our instructions under contract: cloud and network infrastructure, logging and monitoring, fraud prevention, and support tooling.
- The Publisher of the App — Device and activity information associated with its integration, which may be provided in aggregate or pseudonymous form for reporting, compliance and payment purposes. The precise information available to a Publisher depends on the Dashboard and integration configuration.
- Our business customers — they do not receive your identity or a profile of you. In the ordinary course of routing, the websites and services they reach will see your IP address as the source of the request. That is the nature of the service you are opting into.
- Legal and safety — courts, regulators and law enforcement where we are legally required to respond, or where it is necessary to protect the rights, property or safety of Cash Raven, our users or the public.
- Corporate transactions — an acquirer or successor in a merger, financing or sale of assets, subject to confidentiality.
7. How long we keep it
We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to operate and secure the Cash Raven Network, administer Publisher payments, honor consent and opt-out choices, prevent fraud and abuse, enforce network restrictions, resolve disputes, and comply with applicable legal obligations. Retention periods may vary depending on the type of information and the purpose for which it is processed. We may retain information for a longer period where required or permitted by law.
Consent, opt-out and Device-related records may also be retained as reasonably necessary to honor user choices, calculate Publisher payments, investigate abuse and enforce network restrictions.
8. International transfers
Cash Raven is based in the United States, and information may be processed in the United States and in other countries where Cash Raven or its service providers operate. Where applicable law requires a transfer mechanism, Cash Raven will use an appropriate lawful mechanism for the relevant transfer. Contact support@cashraven.io for additional information.
9. Your choices and rights
Turn it off. The fastest control is the opt-out inside the app. Sharing stops immediately.
Your rights. Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access the information we hold about your device, correct it, delete it, restrict or object to processing, receive a portable copy, and withdraw consent. California residents may also have the rights described at https://cashraven.io/legal/ccpa, including the right to know, delete and correct, and not to be discriminated against for exercising them.
How to exercise Your rights. Contact us at support@cashraven.io. To help us locate information associated with Your Device, we may ask for the pseudonymous identifier displayed by the App or for other information reasonably necessary to identify the relevant records. We may need to verify Your authority over the Device or account before completing a request. If we cannot reasonably identify the applicable records, we will explain that limitation.
Complaints. If you are in the EEA or the UK you may complain to your local data protection authority.
10. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, alteration and disclosure. No system is perfectly secure. We will notify affected people and regulators of a personal data breach where the law requires it.
11. Children
Bandwidth sharing is for people 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If we learn that a device belongs to a person under 18, we will disable sharing and delete the associated information. If you believe a minor's device is sharing, contact us at support@cashraven.io.
12. Changes
We may update this notice. The current version is always at https://cashraven.io/legal/sdk-privacy. If we make a material change to what we collect or why, we will require a fresh opt-in or ask the Publisher to notify you before the change takes effect.
